Certified Benefits Counselor
Mariel Aguilar joined Infinity Support Services in March 2023 as a Certified Benefits Counselor. Mariel has worked in various settings providing Social Work Services to individuals, families and children. Mariel served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Florida for several years, advocating for children who are abused, abandoned and neglected. This connected her to different organizations, resources and networks to help meet the specialized needs of each child.
During her time living in remote Alaska, Mariel provided Substance Use Services to Individuals and Families struggling with addiction and helped them identify and overcome some of their personal challenges as well as assisting them with their medical needs with their providers, connecting them to support groups, the right treatment centers and successfully completing legal requirements assigned by court.
Mariel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 2014 and her Masters Degree in 2017 from Nova Southeastern University in Human Services of Child Protection, and has since dedicated her time advocating for Individuals general well-being and helping them through adversities and barriers. Mariel has had the opportunity to serve a wide range of individuals population and has always had a heart to give back to communities and empathize with people’s unique story and provide resources and assistance to their needs.
In her spare time Mariel enjoys reading, cooking, nature, wildlife photography and spending time with her family.
